Solaris upgrade - high CPU utilization

Recently, three Ultra 1 servers were upgraded from Solaris 7 to
Solaris 8 (in-nplace) plus the latest Security & Recommended patches.
Now the machines are exhibiting very high CPU utilization by init, ie.
prstat or top show CPU utilization by init somewhere around 80 to 90 %.

Has anyone experienced anything like this ?
Any thoughts ?

Thanks,
George
