OK, I give up. I've been trying to find some hint as to the direction
Sun plans to take with it's hardware platform. I've found lots of info
about their philosophy and products (aside from hardware). I'm hoping
someone out there may have some inkling as to where they are planning to
go with the SPARC series of chips (especially with Itaniums kicking
their ass in performance tests). Has anyone heard anything they can
disclose (Our Sun vendor is being very tightlipped)? My boss is
evaluating just which platform to go with and is concerned with Sun's
growth path (I keep telling him Sun isn't going anywhere...they may not
be called Sun but they aren't going anywhere).
Any insight, link, etc would be most beneficial.
