Sun Gurus:
I am setting up a 280R with an A1000. I installed Raid Manager 6.22 on the 280R running solaris 8. The first symptoms of failure show up when I run the (GUI) Raid Manager Software and it says it cannot find any Raid Modules. So I decided to do a reboot (halt + boot -r) and see the see what is happening at startup:

I found these lines to be disturbing:

This made me to want to probe the scsi device from the ok prompt to see if the 280R could see the scsi device, so I did a halt on the machine and did the following commands
setenv auto-boot? false
reset all
All this to probe the SCSI:
{0} ok probe-scsi-all
/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@4
LiD HA LUN --- Port WWN --- ----- Disk description -----
0 0 0 21000004cffe2f9a SEAGATE ST336607FSUN36G 0207
1 1 0 21000004cfd6d103 SEAGATE ST336607FSUN36G 0207
/pci@8,700000/scsi@6,1
/pci@8,700000/scsi@6
Target 6
Unit 0 Removable Read Only device TOSHIBA DVD-ROM SD-M14011009
I know from the documentation that /pci@8,700000/scsi@6,1 is where I am supposed to have my A1000 connected to, plus physically I am connected to the scsi port (scsi logo on top) and I have a diff terminator on the A1000.
My reasoning tells me that I am not connecting between the 280R and A1000. Is this assumption correct? I have not done anything on the A100, we literally bought it new and took it out of the box and connected it to the 280R, do I need to do anything physical to the machine, like change the SCSI dial in the back? Do I have to run any commands to add Luns or do I have to modify the NVRAM?
thank you,
