Solaris 9 & Solaris Volume Mgr Questions

All:

I have some questions on Solaris 9 & Volume Mgr etc.
1) The first one is about general consent about Solaris 9. Are you all
moving to Solaris 9 or
going to wait till Solaris 10 is released and move to 10? and why? I have
heard that 9 is like Solaris 7 that not many folks are
moving toward to 9.
2) How is the embedded Solaris Volume Mgr in 9? How is it different from
Veritas Volume Mgr?
3) Can we add the Solaris Volume Mgr which comes with Sol 9 to Solaris 8?
4) Is there a Veritas quick I/O equivalent in Solaris Volume Mgr?
5) How about VxFS file systems?
6) Does Solaris Volume Mgr has the "Disk group" functionality of Veritas's?
7) Can you resize the volume on the fly?
7) How hard is to upgrade a Solaris Volume Mgr encapsulated boot disk with
a newer version of Solaris?

Thank you for your time.

Jose
