Fast Data Access MMU Miss - Solaris 8

Hello All,

I've got an Ultra 5 running Solaris 8 and with OBP version 3.31.0. When I
try to boot from cdrom, I get the infamous "Fast Data Access MMU Miss"
error. I am aware that there is an issue with faster (> 419 MHz) CPU's which
can cause this problem for Solaris 6 and earlier but this obviously isn't
applicable here. If I boot from the hard drive, I can access data on the
CD-ROM fine and probe-ide seems to pick up the 2 ide devices (CD-ROM and
hard-drive) OK. I have seen users with similar queries to this in the
archives but unfortunately no summary with a solution.

I am seeing another error on boot which may be unrelated... it seems like a
hard-drive read problem, there seems to be a bad block... getting error
messages such as

WARNING : /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/sd@2,0 (sd0):
Read Error
Sense Key : No additional Sense
Error Level: Retryable
Error Level: Fatal

Any help on these problems would be greatly appreciated... particularly the
first (Fast Data Access MMU Miss)... could they both be symptoms of a
motherboard problem?

Thanks,
John Kelly.
