Hi there,
I have a couple of brand new 72 GB drives that I want
to try adding to an older storage array (A5000).
I was able to see other 9 GB, 18 GB, and 36 GB disks
but the system can't see the 72 GB (this is a Seagate,
not a Sun disk with the Sun bar code).
The exact error message is "Disk Unknown" for both.
(Auto-config option in format also failed)
Does that mean the 2 disks are bad or are they not
recognized by the storage array?
Do I need a patch/firmware upgrade for the A5000 to
recognize this big drive (FC-AL)?
The A5000 "sees" the disk on the small LCD window,
I am running Solaris 8 if that helps.
Thanks for any suggestion
Tony
