I'm new to this mailing list, so please bear with me if I don't follow the
posting rules to the letter.
I have searched the archives and the web to find a solution to our problem
but to no avail, so I have to plunge and ask the question.
We have a license server running Solaris 2.6 which has a hard file desc
limit of 1024, and a soft limit of 64. The dev box that is attempting to use
a licensed debugger is also running Sol 2.6 but needs to set the # of soft
fds to 4096 to enable the dev environment to operate correctly.
This causes the license server to return an error, unless you set the fd
limit back to 1024 before using the debugger. The question is, is this a
know problem with flexlm? Surely the number of local FDs shouldnt matter
when dealing with a remote lic server?
Any help would be appreciated.
