Backup Hardware (2)

Jeff Kennedy kindly advised that I did not include enough information
regarding my individual requirements. So, sorry for this additional post
but here's some more details:

I am trying to backup .5TB real data, with current drive capacity that could
allow that amount to double. The majority of this data needs a level 0 dump
at least once per week, with incrementals on a daily basis.

As far as I know, there are no direct attach requirements. Ten (10)
clients for the jukebox, with possibility of adding 3 to 4 more in the next
year. We have to plan for future expansion.

Thanks again!

Dear Professionals:

I am researching backup technologies that would enable my company to backup
up Windows NT servers as well as SUN Solaris. I am leaning towards an
automated tape library, but am overwhelmed by marketing hype.

What hardware mfg would you recommend for the jukebox? Tape drive? and
(biggest question) what tape technology? AIT, LTO or SDLT or is there
something else? We have several years worth of DLT tapes btw.

Thanks in advance for your advice/opinions.
