Hi,,

Hi gurus ,

I am getting the following error after upgrading to Solaris 8
/01
in ultra 10 machine.(UPgrade from solaris 2.6 5/98.)

"
ld.so.1: more: fatal: relocation error: file more: symbol
cur_term: referenced symbol not found killed
"

The upgradation was through without any problem and i could
login
to the machine ,but when i tried to open terminal or console it
is
opening . Then i telneted to machine and when i saw the files
most
of the files are having * and some of the files are having @
symbol. Also i am not able to use the command like more ,vi etc
it
is giving the above ld.so.1 ......error.

also what is the method of installing patches in upgraded
machine
.whether we have to backout and install or directly i can apply
recommnded patches for solaris 8 ?
please reply.

regards
saj

ANSWER :

I got correct answer from :

Casper Dik <Casper.Dik@Sun.COM>|

The answer is :

Remove /usr/ucblib from LD_LIBRARY_PATH

I removed the entry from .cshrc file then everything works fine

Regards

saj
