bad blocks on disk

Hi admins,

I do have a problem with a non mirrored root disk.

The message file tells me that disk " /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 " is
having bad blocks

Jul 22 19:36:46 beta uata: [ID 606412 kern.warning] WARNING: timeout: reset
bus chno = 0 targ = 0
Jul 22 19:36:48 beta dada: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING:
/pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@3/dad@0,0 (dad0):
Jul 22 19:36:48 beta disk not responding to selection

This chno = 0 targ = 0 means the disk is c0t0d#s#

The errored blocks are:
beta:root # grep "Error: Block" /var/adm/messages | awk -F":" '{print $4}' |
sort -u
 Block 4d00
 Block 4d09
 Block 4d0a

I only hace one disk on c0 so thedisk have to be c0t0d0s#

Now with addbadsec i like to add the bad sectors to the BSRA so those
sectors are no longer availible for the OS.
The way to perform addbadsec is: addbadsec [ -p ] [-a blkno [ blkno]] [-f
filename ] raw device.
I know the bad blocks so i know the part: addbaddec [ -p ] -a 4d00 4d09
4d0a -f /root/addbadsec.out c0t0d0s#

Question:
How do i use the -p option?
How do i know the slice number needed in addbadsec?

Greetings,
Wim Alsemgeest
