Booting Problems

Hi,

The System hung and can't boot and displaying the following error message.
Please help

WARNING - /usr/sbin/fsck not found. Most likely the
mount of /usr failed or the /usr filesystem is badly
damaged. The system is being halted. Either reinstall
the system or boot with the -b option in an attempt
to recover.

syncing file systems... done
Program terminated

I did booted the system with cdrom and mounted the /usr filesystem and etc..
but it was not coming up when i did the normal boot. Please advise
