fcip0 interfaces on Solaris

Hello Managares,

 I have a sunfore 280R running solaris 9. There is
fcip0 interface in this machine. When I installed
solaris o/s it detected this fcip0 interface. Now I
have assigned IP address and netmask to it.

But I can't ping this card from another machine on the
network. Not even by using a cross-over cable.

I can only ping it from that server itself.
