Problems setting up glm.conf file

Hello SunManagers,

We have a Cybernetics tape library attached to a LVD scsi card
on our E250 server. Only the Cybernetics devices (drives and
jukebox) are attached to this card. As suggested in the
documentation that came with the library, we had made an entry
in our /etc/system file that drops the SCSI speed:

set scsi_options=0x3F8

However, adding this to /etc/system will cause ALL scsi devices
to be set to the lower transfer speed. So, since the card uses
the glm driver, we set up a glm.conf file in /kernel/drv, which
contained the following, and removed the entry from /etc/system.

(note: path to tape devices is /devices/pci@1f,2000/scsi@1)
name="glm" parent="/pci@1f,2000"
    unit-address="1"
    scsi-options=0x3f8;

After this, we rebooted the system (did not do a reconfiguration
boot). We saw the following message:

Jul 16 14:03:09 pcipsy: [ID 291552 kern.warning] WARNING: glm@1: glm.conf properties not merged

And soon after, these messages appeared:

Jul 16 14:03:32 scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci@1f,2000/glm@1 (glm4):
Jul 16 14:03:32 map setup failed
Jul 16 14:03:32 glm: [ID 110809 kern.warning] WARNING: ID[SUNWpd.glm.attach.4005]
Jul 16 14:03:32 scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci@1f,2000/glm@1 (glm4):
Jul 16 14:03:32 attach failed
Jul 16 14:03:32 glm: [ID 480916 kern.warning] WARNING: ID[SUNWpd.glm.attach.4011]

It looks like there was a problem with how we set up the glm.conf file,
but we have been unable to determine what the problem may be.
(It is unclear what "glm.conf properties not merged" means). We returned
the /etc/system to its previous state and removed glm.conf, and
the next reboot proceeded without incident.

We would like to use glm.conf so that only the Cybernetics-related
scsi drive has its transfer speed adjusted. Any advice will
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin
