So far whenever I am upgraded Solaris versions, I have done a complete
install from scratch, then restore
my data. I was told this was a much cleaner process then going the the
"upgrade" process.
I now have more complex servers also running Veritas. I need to upgrade
both Solaris and Veritas to the latest
levels. (Solaris 6 to Solaris 9). After some research, it seems that this
upgrade would be easier going thru
the upgrade path for Solaris and using the upgrade scripts provide by
Veritas, vs having to redo everything.
Has anyone has any experience in going through this process? Have there
been any problems?
How would you recommend having to upgrade Solaris and Veritas at the same
time?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
