Solaris 8 Native LDAP (4.12), nscd, ldap_cachemgr problems

After we installed the latest Solaris 8 patch cluster we are facing
a problem with native LDAP authentication for our Solaris 8
machines and with Iplanet Directory Server 4.12.

Specifically we get the following messages:
ldap_cachemgr[15913]: [ID 722288 daemon.error] Error: Unable to refresh from
profile:__default_config. (error=2)

and also:
nscd[12863]: [ID 293258 user.error] libsldap: Status: 7 Mesg: LDAP ERROR
(89): Bad parameter to an ldap routine

Although we get this messages, the authentication of the users works but not
consistently. We have to restart periodically nscd and lda_cachemgr.

Also, before we installed the patch cluster we were able to use native LDAP
authentication without the ldap_cachemgr process, which is not the case
right now.

Has anybody encountered similar problems.

Any help would be appreciated.
