All,

I recently used live upgrade to upgrade my
ws(ultra_10) to 2.8. In the process I merged all fs
under / and left existing swap as is, without
realizing there was an overlap till now. I had been
saving all my documentation/notes
(tips,tricks,procedures, etc...) in /space fs which I
just lost (due to the overlap). Stupid me, I never
backed up or created a backup of the documentation
(would've made my life so easy). I'm afraid running
fsck on /space will wipe out any data that might be
recoverable.

The question now is, is my data lost (when I do df on
/space, I still see the space being used) or Can I
recover my data somehow? I called some place I saw on
the net that does data recovery, but they want $500
just to look at the drive 1st then based on findings,
more to perform the recovery. That's alot of money to
spend right now. Can anyone help.

TIA
