We're going to be purchasing an SDLT 320 tape drive
for a Sun server. But in the meantime, I would like to
be able to connect it to our aging RS6000 F50. Would
I be able to do this? What would be required in the
F50?
We already have one internal tape drive, but I would
like to add the SDLT 320 for external tape storage.
I do see one SCSI adapter on the back of the box, it's
a SCSI/NIC combo.
Here are the SCSI adapters on our F50 (according to
lsdev -P)
adapter sym875 pci Wide/Fast-20
SCSI I/O Controller
adapter ncr825 pci Wide SCSI I/O
Controller
adapter ncr810 pci Standard SCSI
I/O Controller
Thanks in advance.
Joe
