enterprise single sign on solutions

Does anyone have any advice about single sign on solutions? I know
Solaris clients can authenticate against an LDAP server e.g. Sun One
Directory. That would take care of most of my servers but there are many
Redhat servers as well which according to Redhat can at least
authenticate against OpenLDAP. What would be great is a solution where
these 2 platforms could authenticate as well as our Win2K clients and
intranet web applications.

Right now all 400 Unix servers have /etc/passwd for users, Win2k has an
active directory, intranet uses siteminder with a backend of Sun One
Directory. So when a user leaves the company...well you get the idea.

I've started looking at Sun One platform for nework identity but have no
experience with it. Any suggestions? Thanks. Will summarize.
