Solaris8, Modem - Hayes commands not detected

Trying to figure out how to make the modem responding on a E6500, Serial port
B connected to an external modem(V .92) with a null modem cable.

Modem is detected (/dev/cua/b) but not letting me run any AT commands to test
dial out.

Current eeprom output for dollowing is this. Modem works fine on Windows
system.

 ttya-ignore-cd=false
ttya-rts-dtr-off=false

Any help??
