T3s attached to a blade 1000

We have just moved 2 fcal cards and attached T3s from an Ultra60 to a
Blade1000. The Blade 1000 is refusing to see the T3s.
We get the following devices on the blade:
/pci@8,600000/SUNW,ifp@1/ses
/pci@8,600000/SUNW,ifp@1/ssd
/pci@8,700000/SUNW,ifp@3/ses
/pci@8,700000/SUNW,ifp@3/ssd
but cannot see the T3s at all.
'luxadm insert' shows no new fcal devices.

We have patched & updated the flash prom, even tried another blade.
The fcal cards are PCI qlogic 375-3019.
The Ultra60 sees the T3 disks fine and 'format' shows the disks straight
away.
Has anyone ever had the same issue or suggest why the blade has a problem.
