Problem with cfgadm and SAN tape library

Hi all,

I have a Sun E450 running Solaris 8 with the latest patch set. It has a 2GB dual
interface HBA.

It is connected to a brocade 2800 switch, with a Sun StorEdge 3510
and a HP 2/20 tape library zoned in.

I have no problems accessing the 3510, the problem is with the tape
changer.

With the cfgadm -la command I can see the WWNN of the tape library.
Device nodes have been created for the LTO tape drives.

In the past, on other systems, I have used the sst driver to configure
tape changers on a SAN connected tape library without any problems. I am using other
vendors HBA's though, (like Emulex and JNI) and they just worked. I cannont figure
out how Sun do the same sort of thing.

My sst.conf entry look like this:

name="sst" parent="/pci@1f,2000/SUNW,qlc@1/fp@0,0" target=0 lun=0 pwwn="100000e00221e9a6";

The tape drive has it's changer on SCSI ID 0, tape drive 1 is on SCSI ID 1 and tape
drive 2 is on SCSI ID 2.

I believe the cfgadm command is attempting to create device nodes for
this changer for me, but failing:

WARNING: /psuedo/fcp@0 (fcp0):
        Create devinfo failed
/pci@1f,2000/SUNW,qlc@1/fp@0,0 (fcp0):
        ndi_devi_online: failed for st: target=11400 lun=0 ffffffff

I use add_drv sst to load the sst driver, but it fails to attach.

Any help would be really great. I will summarise back to the list.

Thankx,

 - aW
