since upgrading our networker server (sun e450) from solaris 7 to
solaris 9, we are periodically seeing errors like this:
nsrd: media notice: Volume "000142" on device "/dev/rmt/3cbn": Cannot
decode block. Verify the device configuration. Tape positioning by
record is disabled.
the drive is subsequently disabled by networker. legato can't seem to
make sense of it. we've changed cabling and hbas as well just to be
sure. the catch is that it happens to a different drive every time.
has anyone encountered this?
