Is anyone out there having chronic problems on the v880 with memory. We had
some systems come in from a vendor with dataram memory and were getting
piles of errors. we thought it was the memory then we swapped it with sun
memory and the problems are still there. we heard Caltech had a power
supply replacement for memory problems. We know about that dc/dc converter
upgrade for the 750m to 900 cpus.
I guess I am looking for rev of weak parts info the group may have come
across.
by the way , the dataram memory we took out of the machine is running fine
in the machine we took the sun memory out of.
they mostly show up as hundreds or thousands of memory errors and don't
follow the cpu//mem bd . you replace one dimm then another shows up either
in the same place or somewhere else.
