Recursive call to mutex

Hi,

I tried to replace a 10Mb ethernet card with a 100Mb ethernet card on a SUN
Solaris 2.5.1 computer. The system was running Oracle, a database which
uses the kernel level thread libraries of SUN/Solaris. When the 100Mb card
was installed, the machine crashed
under heavy load with an the error "panic: recursive call to mutex".

Could you please suggest why the error occurred and how to fix it.
