/opt/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.csh --> "wordlist too large"

Hi all,

I am almost done with getting GNUstep to work on Solaris. One final
little thing. I need to execute the file

        /opt/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.csh

whenever a user logs in to add some directories to PATH etc. We use tcsh
for all users since this shell is also available on MacOSX and the
MacOSX machines use the Solaris box as a NIS server. When I enter

source /opt/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.csh

in a tcsh shell I get "wordlist too large". When I do the same in csh I
get "Variable syntax".

What is this?

. /opt/GNUstep/System/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh in bash works. However, I
cannot change the shell to bash for all users since this shell is not
available on the NIS clients.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

    Andreas
