UPDATE: E420R hanging at boot

Hi All

Bit more info, now that it has been powered on for some time (1 hour or so)
it appears to hang with one cpu only installed (either one so not CPU
realted). The POST diag says that one of the memory SIMMS is faulty, so
having replaced that it still insists that it is faulty. Guess it must be
the motherboard.

Just a quick one to start Monday off.

I have a E420R 2 x CPU (450Mhz) 2048Mb memory and it refuses to boot, will
either hang during memory initialising or hang before it starts to boot the
disk. If I take out either of the CPU's and just use 1 CPU it appears to
work fine. Anyone seen this before and the solution?

Thanks

Peter
