[OT] Multiple LUNs in Solaris

Howdy all,

I have a SPARC5 with Solaris 8 2/02. I have attached a Seagate Barracuda 18XL
(ST39216N) SCSI HD. It is in a Kingston Data Silo chassis.

It is set to SCSI ID 0. And is the only SCSI dev on the bus.

The problem:

When I do a: "probe-scsi-all" from the PROM Target 0 is detected, with...however,
multiple LUNs. The PROM seems to think that there are 8 LUNs (0-7), with each LUN being
the entire Taget 0 (the HD).

Does anyone know why the PROM would report back multiple LUNs for a hard disk ??

Thanks

 - Alex
