Hi All,
We are in a process of migrating the NIS services running at our site from HP-UX
systems to Solaris. Presently we have one master NIS server and three slave NIS
servers all running HP-UX.
What I was thinking is to make one of my solaris system as the slave of my
domain and then in turn transfer the mastership of the domain to this new
Solaris system and then keep on adding new solaris servers as the slave server
and simultaneously wipe out the HP-UX slave servers.
I want your suggestion on the recommended approach that should be followed for a
smooth migration.
