Hello Sun Managers,
I have a Sun ultra 10S (solaris 2.7) machine.I have two hard disks on this machine.
My requirement is that I need to reinstall the OS on this machine ,and it has been
decided that we will only format the first hard disk as only this disk contains the OS
files and the second disk will not be disturbed.Given below is how the actual partitions
look like in the system:
first hard disk:
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 /
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s6 /usr
fd /dev/fd
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s3 /var
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s5 /opt
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s7 /home
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0s1 /usr/openwin
swap /tmp
-----------------------------------------------
second hard disk:
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0 /export/home
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s1 /oracle/a1
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s3 /oracle/a2
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s4 /oracle/a3
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s5 /oracle/a4
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s6 /oracle/a5
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s7 /oracle/a6
How will I go about this ?????What are the steps that I need to follow in order to
achieve this???????????
