up.time clarification

Hello SunManagers,

Just a quick note to follow up on a post I read not to long ago regarding
our server performance monitoring tool called up.time. I'm glad that many
of you like the tool and find it useful. Thats a good thing.

But I feel compelled to clarify that the tool is not free. Those who are
interested in evaluating the tool can still do so, but we've put a few
limitations on the number of servers you can monitor (2) and the number of
days (15) people can try it out before it starts to do funny things.
However, for those who want to the buy the product to run it production
(i.e. more than 2 servers), I'm certain that they'll find its relatively
"inexpensive", an easy decision to make, and doesn't usually require senior
management sign off because its typically priced within the range of signing
authority for most sys admin managers.

You might also be interested in knowing that sys admins who want to use a
full featured version in a production environment (i.e. software development
groups who want to use it in conjunction with other app stress/load testing
tools), but who don't want to have to buy it outright, can do so on a
subscription basis too which will allow them to pick the number of servers
and the duration of use, and then just pay an affordable monthly fee which
can be cancelled at any time.

If we can be of any assistance, let us know.

Best regards.
