Mirroring using RaidManager versus Veritas Volume Manager

I have an A1000 array that we're going to setup as one big LUN using
mirroring.
Would I be better off (1) or (2) or something else.
(1) Setting up on Raid Manager as a bunch of single un-mirrored disks, so
Solaris sees a bunch of
small 34gb disks. Then use Veritas volume manager to combine them
all into one large group
(2) Setting up on Raid manager as one big mirrored LUN, so Solaris sees one
large 204gb disk.

Anyone have any experience on which is better. I want to end up with
multiple filesystems in this
large LUN, all of them striped across all the disks.
We're going to be adding an additional pair of internal disks to the mix so
the disk group will actually
contain 14 disks (34gb each) for a total of 228gb mirrored.
