RE: Wireless cards

Most linux OS's I've dealt with have supported my Orinoco Gold card, look
for lucent or IBM rebranded cards, which are typically Orinoco cards.

My current card is a Lucent, model PC24E-H-FC. I also have an Orinoco A/B/G
card which works as well, but does not feature the external antenna jack.
Orinoco type connectors for your antenna may be a bit harder to find, but
thanks to the joys of e-bay you can find something without breaking the
bank.

Very very few cards have drivers for linux. You have to use a
NDISWrapper which strips the windows drivers into something linux card
read. For a general guideline consult the following URL:

I'm trying to find a wireless card for my laptop with an external
antenna jack and linux drivers but the linux part is eliminating every
one I have seen.

Suggestions...?
