In a nutshell:

> /dev/root is an emergency device file to allow the system
> to bootup when your VG00 is messed up. Run lvlnboot -v and
> vgdisplay -v vg00 to see if everything is normal. /dev/root
> is created when you bootup with a bad root volume group.
> Also check syslog for disk errors and /etc/rc.log for
> bootup errors.

# lsdev | grep lvm
        64 64 lv lvm
#

Thanks to the list,

fabio.
