Does anyone know how to map the N Port information output from fcmsutil
to the actual device file or hardware path through the command line?
Not the device of the card, but of the end devices. For example, on
/dev/td11, I have several tape drives. One of them is
/dev/rmt/c85t5d0BEST which correlates to the hardware path
1/0/14/0/0.1.16.255.5.5.0 and the N Port id of 0x011055 from the
following fcmsutil command:
# fcmsutil /dev/td11 get remote all
Target N_Port_id is = 0x011055
Target state = DVS_UNOPENED
Symbolic Name = STK 9840 1.35
Port Type = NL_PORT
SLER Capable (supports Retry & TRID) = YES
Target Port World Wide Name = 0x500104f00073998b
Target Node World Wide Name = 0x500104f00073998a
I can get this info from the physical mapping of the fiber switch. I've
seen several clues about how to map the fc devices to its device file,
but nothing underneath it.
