One month back on our RP7420 machine the primary boot
disk was replaced and they just did lvextend -m 1 of
all the lvols but did not do a vgsync. one week back
we lost most of the /var (except stm and couple of
other directories), when i checked on the machine the
pvdisplay on the primary and alternate were not
matching. in other words on the primary disk the
extents were not contiguos, Could this be the root
cause for the missing var(i think the pvdisplay issue
was 'coz vgsync was not run after the replacement of
the disk)?
Please Clarify...
