Hy people,
I have a doubt,
I have a 11i system with a mirror vg, lets call it vgora for example, and i
want to have the same vg in another machine, the disks are shared in an
XP1024.
although its not the best idea my question, is it posible to:
stop the vg vgchange -a n vgora
break the mirror lvsplit - _b /dev/vgora/lvol* pv_names
take a map of vgora vgexport -p -m map vgora
assing the disks with lvoles_b to the other machine
pvscan -va the machine to update lvmtab
and import de vgimport vgora -m map vgora
and remove the lvoles without _b
do another pvscan, vgcfgbackup vgora
and a vgchange -a y vgora
would this work?? if not what would be your idea of doinfg something
similar??
thnx
