Fellow SAs:
I added a few disk drives to a volume group and
extended some of the filesystems in the same VG. I
forgot to run a "autopath discover" before doing this.
Now autopath does not recognise these disks and I am
unable to set the necessary policies.
When I run a autopath discover I get a message saying
that the discovery was successful. But, I can not run
a "autopath diskplay /dev/dsk/cxtydz" command on the
related systems. This is what I get:
/.root # autopath display /dev/dsk/c4t3d7
autopath: Not An Auto Path device
autopath: Unable to communicate with the device.
Please check the device path.
Could someone please tell me what I need to do? This
is a production server. These disks have alternate
paths in the volume group. I am sure I do not have to
worry. But, I just want to see these new disks
recognised by secure path.
Thanks,
NEIL
