[HPADM] Oracle 9i and Serviceguard

Hi:

We have implemented SG and during some configuration meetings our DBA group
stated they do not want any oracle instance to automatically failover, but
want an adoptive node available if a failover is necessary.

We do cold Oracle backups during off hours (i.e. shutdown the database, use
EMC to split/establish a snap image) and need to ensure the Oracle instance
restarts on the same node.

If you're a Serviceguard site, how are you managing these issues?

Thank You

Richard Marshall
