To cut a LONG story short, after having had a vg00 disk replaced and eventually returned to vg00, I have a situation where the VG is now a lot better than it was (no errors reported) however, it is saying Current PV=3 and not 2 which is what I'd expect.
lvmtab says 2 disks which is correct.
When I managed to get the disk back in with a vgextend (and believe me there was a bizarre way to getting that to work too and I needed to search the archive to get the answer) a warning/error popped up saying that the kernel thought there was 3 disks in vg00 but lvmtab only 2. That is when I decided to reboot to try and correct things but that didn't help..
Any ideas how I can change "Cur PV" to 2?
I have tried vgreduce -f but that doesn't allow me to do it as it says the pv's are still in use......
I would appreciate any thoughts you might have!
Cheers
Nick.
