I have Clearcase servers that are being backed up using a no longer
supported piece of software, which happened to be quite elegant in its
design and use of flat ASCII files for datasets, scheduling, etc. With it I
was able to easily create individual snapshots of live databases, one at a
time when the backup occurred, using Online JFS and before/after scripting.
Each database resides in its own filesystem, and can be anywhere from
100MB-50GB in size.

Now, in Legato, is there any concept of before/after scripting on a per
filesystem basis so I can accomplish the same thing? From what I see of the
".res" files (which reside on the clients, btw, another problem imo), they
are designed to run on a per client basis, not a per filesystem basis.

There has to be something I am missing. Thanks in advance for any clues.

Craig
