Thanks to Kevin O'Donovan
He sudgested running a disk info which showed the disk to be there and then I
did a pgcreate on the device which bombed out.
The next attack was reseating the fibre-channel cards which seemed to the
trick with everything a. ok.
- ---- ORIGINAL QUESTION------
Hi all
I am tring to add a 60gb san device to an lvm group but when I seem to do
this
I seem to get the following messages when I either create a new disk group
or
adding the device via the vgcreate command.
vgextend command to an existing disk group.
vgextend /dev/sybdump /dev/dsk/c16t0d5
vgextend: IO error on Physical Volume device /dev/dsk/c16t0d5:
When trying to create a new diskgroup with the same device
vgcreate -l 12 -s 8 /dev/test /dev/dsk/c16t0d5
Physical Extent Size changed to 0 MB to accomodate smallest physical volume.
Floating point exception (core dumped)
and yet all the paths look correct. and connected. I have also tried
reconfiguring the device on the san all to no avail.
San Array HSV110
Hp secure Path used.
OS version 11.iv2
Any Ideas???
Thanks in advance -greg
