Hi all,
does anyone know where i could find performance figures (like SPECint...
and such) for the new RP3400 series servers ?.
HP's web-site does not provide them (yet), although i can find them for
the RX2600 family.
Reason for asking : for a new server i am faced with the choice between an
RX2600 (dual 1.5 GHz Itanium2) and the new RP3440 (2 - 4 1.0 GHz PA-8800).
Software wise i would like to stay on the PA-RISC 'track' (all my other HP
systems are PA-RISC, no Itanium yet), but potential higher performance of
the Itanium platform could alter the decision.
Key issues are I/O and memory bandwidth as well as integer performance,
rather than floating-point performance.
