Hi,

I didn't receive any responses, but I dug around & found this:
/opt/graphics/common/doc/GAG/Web/GAG.html

It pointed out the most obvious, running "sam" & changing the bit mode under the Display options.

Thx,

Sharon

Subject: Running CDE in 24 bit mode

Hello Admins,

I'd like to run our HP-UX 11.00 C360 in 24 bit mode. Currently it's at 8:

% xdpyinfo | grep 'depth of root window'
depth of root window: 8 planes

I believe I need to edit /etc/dt/config/Xservers, but I'm not sure of the proper syntax. Right now it looks like this:

* Local local@console /usr/bin/X11/X :0

Does anyone know what I need to change it to, in order to run in 24 bit mode?

Thanks!

Sharon
