Question:

# getconf KERNEL_BITS

Gives me for the OS if its 32-Bit or 64-Bit

But now I want to know how I can find out
if my other applications ie Tuxedo Oracle Java...
are 64-bit or 32-bit....

Can someone help me ....

Answer :

You could run a file command on some of the binaries.

If it reports "PA-RISC2.0 shared executable" then
it'll be 32bit and if it reports "ELF-64 executeable
object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)" then it's 64-bit
