[HPADM] DUMP FAILS

Hello Admins,
My database dump occasionally fails. I have tried to eliminate the tapes and
replace them with new ones. It would sometimes go back to normal on its own
without me doing much, or if I rebook the Unix box. Stopping and starting
the database server and the backup server does not remedy the situation, it
is because of this that I think the dump failure may be caused by something
in my Unix O/S.

The server on which this occurs has HP Unix 11, and the database server is
Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise/11.9.2/1059/P/SWR 8452 ESD
6/HP9000-735/HP-UX 10.2/FBO/Tue May 11 05:25:05 1999. has anybody come
across this? What may be the problem?

TIA
