[HPADM] RE: fsadm fails

Thanks to Richard for this answer. I did indeed have the filesystem at 100%
and that was my error. I have gone in and done the manual extendfs and all
is well with the world once again. Thanks to all who provided input.

you have to bring the storage on the current filesystems down under 100%
before fsadm will work....

Sorry for the spam guys,

 

Below is the output of my fsadm command. We are indeed running
VxFS/OnlineJFS on our system. Not sure where to look for the error numbers,
but wanted to see if anyone had seen this error before. Once again, thanks
for all the invaluable help this list provides.

 

jenz2:/ # fsadm -b 2048000 /home/carsids/mckenna

fsadm: /etc/default/fs is used for determining the file system type

fsadm: /dev/vg01/rlvol25 is currently 1024000 sectors - size will be
increased

fsadm: attempt to resize /dev/vg01/rlvol25 failed with errno 28
