Hi Admin's,

I was wandering... How to Change the CPU Id of a couple of PA8000's we have?

The need is for Disaster Recovery whereby some of the applications tie the
License to the CPU Id. Moving this onto an alternate Kx60 configuration on a
separate site would require us to temporarily re-license all the appropriate
apps on an as needed basis which, could cause delays in the real life
scenario. What I'm considering is taking the CPU Id's of the live hosts and
porting this to DR Servers when required. This would then mean the recovery
should be an utterly smooth process for like4like environments.

Does anyone know or have any tools to aid in this operation. Because this is
DR these Servers are not covered by HP maintenance until a live situation
becomes effective.

MTIA

Derek
