[HPADM] gnutar to/from remote drive?

I need to do some software backup from different
unix server to an unique internal dlt drive.
The drive is in one hp-ux server, others server
are hp-ux or solaris.
I know I can use fbackup, which permit me to
backup to a remote tape, but this is not
available on solaris, right?
Is there a way to do that with gtar?
