[HPADM] mod_ssl problem

Hello folks,

I'm hoping that someone on the list has installed apache on their HP box. I
have an L2000 and a N4000 that I am trying to install apache 1.3.27 with
mod_ssl 1.3.27 and mod_perl. I can get the apache to compile in just fine, I
can get the mod_perl to compile in just fine, but when I try to compile in
the mod_ssl, I get the following error:

cpp: "ssl_util_ssl.h", line 90: warning 2001: Redefinition of macro
OPENSSL_free.
        flex -Pssl_expr_yy -s -B ssl_expr_scan.l
Make: Cannot load flex. Stop.
*** Error exit code 1

Has anyone seen this error before? It seems to me like it is trying to call
flex and I'm trying to assume it's a version of lex, but the parameters
passed do not match with what man lex shows. Anyone have any ideas how I can
get this to work correctly? Thanks in advance for your time and ideas.
