I am attempting to start the ups_mond daemon on 11.0 on a rp5430 server. I
used 'sam' to set it up and now, when I let the daemon run, I get tons of
the following message in the syslog and on the console.
Apr 3 05:56:56 fmddev /usr/lbin/ups_mond[18595]: /usr/lbin/ups_mond: AC
Power t
o all recognized, system critical UPS's OK! System will not shutdown.
Apr 3 05:57:03 fmddev above message repeats 5770 times
The server has version B of GSP and the Powertrust monitor cable is
connected to the "W" cable connector labeled "UPS". I had to disable the
ups_mond daemon in order to stop all the messages.
The 'ups_conf' file has the upstty as being /dev/tty0p2 which is enabled in
the 'inittab' file.
All documentation says version B of the GSP has the path for the UPS at
0/0/4/1.1
Is there anyway to stop this output? I configured EMS so that it only
notifies me of any UPS problem on a MAJOR WARNING or above and then to email
root when that happens.
Thanks
